Practice Areas

Divorce / Legal Separation

Our office represents men and women for divorce and legal separation primarily in the Illinois Metro-East counties. We welcome both contested and uncontested matters and have experience in obtaining values of marital and non-marital businesses, including, but not limited to, farming, excavation, and professional businesses in health, law, and medicine.

Alimony & Spousal Support

We represent both men and women in spousal support cases (previously labeled alimony, now termed maintenance). Maintenance is a very important issue as once it ceases it may never be reactivated. We are experienced on both how to gain an award and how to terminate or minimize an award.

Child Support & Post High School Support

Our office represents clients in several areas regarding minor and non-minor support as it relates to paternity, divorce, and public aid defense. Although the child support is very specifically controlled by statutory guidelines, our office stays on top of cases which are on the cutting-edge of deviating above and below statutory guidelines.

Domestic Violence / Order of Protection

We defend men and women regarding criminal misdemeanor and domestic violence charges as well as obtaining or defeating Orders of Protection both on an emergency and long-term basis.

Paternity

We represent men and women regarding determining parentage of children out of wedlock and all issues related thereto.

Custody & Visitation

We represent men and women in areas of custody and visitation in several areas, including paternity, divorce/legal separation, and post-divorce modification.

We believe that men as well as women can be the best custodial parent and have been successful in both areas.
